From Down to Out!

You are invited to join WildCare Saturday April 9th at 2pm as WildCare celebrates the release of another Bald Eagle at Spring Creek Park on Arcadia Lake, Edmond, OK.

Ready to go homeLast November a bald eagle shattered the wind shield of an 18 wheeler on Indian Nation highway. With a concussion, broken wing, shattered leg and lacerated liver, she was definitely down!

Thanks to Dr. Joe Carter and his staff at Oklahoma Equine Hosp. the bird has fully recovered.

Now she is ready to be OUT!

Direction: Take I-35 to 15th Street exit in Edmond. Go east on 15th about 2 miles. You will come to the Arcadia Lake guard house at Spring Creek Park. Take the first right after the guard house. There are two roads to the left and one to the right.  All are a short distance from the release site which will be by the rest rooms.  Come early, bring your camera, and binoculars.  For your pets safety please leave them at home for this event.

Baby Barn OwlWildCare’s facility is not open to the public for tours with the exception of two events a year. WildCare’s Baby Shower and WildCare’s Open House.  At both events you will get a unique opportunity to tour the entire facility.  You will get a glimpse of the babies sleeping in the nurseries and if you are luck you might see a bobcat watching you from the tree tops. WildCare is proud to show you what your donations have done!
