WildCare Foundation is a state and federally licensed facility for the rehabilitation of wild animals. We are a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization supported through donations from people like you. We invite you to contribute to our facility by becoming a member of the WildCare Foundation.
Since WildCare started in 1984, the numbers of orphaned and injured animals brought to us have increased dramatically – from less than 100 to over 4,500 a year. WildCare has now cared for over 55,000 animals struggling to survive! All of these animals certainly would have died without your support. These are not just statistics. They are precious lives of magnificent wild creatures that desperately need your help to survive.
Your tax deductible contribution will help to ensure that our work will continue to preserve the intricate fabric of life … one delicate thread at a time.
Munch a Mouse on Monday” is a new WildCare program inspired by a baby mink.
This summer, a family from Canadian County spotted a furry little animal in the road, trying to crawl over the curb. It was a baby mink. They rescued the youngster and brought it to WildCare, making it the third mink we’ve worked with in 30 years.
Weighing barely over a pound, the baby is thriving on fish and mice. She can put away five mice a day! At $0.80 per mouse, her diet costs WildCare $4.00 per day for just mice.
The mink’s expensive diet prompted WildCare staff to introduce a new program, “Munch a Mouse on Monday”. On the first Monday of every month, we will invite you to donate a few dollars to provide a mink, a bobcat cub, or a barn owl a munchy meal of mice.
